Rarelee Secures Pre-Seed Investment from 500 Global to Drive Personalized Style Consulting Worldwide
Korean personalized style consulting startup Rarelee has secured a pre-seed investment from 500 Global. With this funding, the company will accelerate the advancement of its data-driven technology and strengthen its global infrastructure, laying the foundation for a full-scale entry into the U.S. market.
Founded by a Seoul National University Law School graduate, Rarelee is built on the philosophy that “understanding yourself better brings freedom.” The brand provides a technology-based beauty solution that analyzes facial structure, features, and body shape to recommend personalized hair, makeup, and fashion styles.
Believing that even features often perceived as flaws can be reframed into unique charms, Rarelee has developed a service that identifies styles harmonizing with an individual’s natural look and aura. In doing so, the company has pioneered a new category of style consulting within the beauty-tech industry.
Rarelee’s service has consistently sold out immediately upon launch each month, while its cumulative revenue continues to grow rapidly. With the global rise of K-beauty and K-culture, the startup has seen a surge of international customers, particularly in North America.
A Rarelee spokesperson stated “This investment serves as a crucial stepping stone for Rarelee to expand beyond Korea and onto the global stage. We aim to set new standards in the global fashion and beauty industry and bring Korean-originated style consulting into the daily lives of customers worldwide.”
Kim Kyung-min, Partner at 500 Global, added: “Rarelee is not simply a styling service, but a pioneer introducing a new paradigm by analyzing individual features through data to deliver optimal style recommendations. With a scalable, data-driven platform adaptable to diverse ethnicities and personalities, Rarelee will empower customers worldwide to express their unique charm through personalized styling.”
