Dolbom-e-shin Secures $370K Bridge Investment from HGI to Advance Hospital Caregiving Platform

Korean startup Dolbom-e-shin(meaning God of Care), which operates hospital-focused caregiving platform CareGuardian, has secured an approximately USD 370,000(KRW 500 million) bridge investment from HGI (HG Initiative). This round precedes the company’s upcoming Series A fundraising and is expected to serve as a stepping stone for service enhancement and market expansion.

Dolbom-e-shin operates a caregiving platform centered on hospitals, connecting patients, caregivers, and guardians through partnerships with major hospitals in the Seoul metropolitan area.

The platform delivers a transparent and reliable caregiving service by offering AI-based caregiver recommendation system, automated payment / settlement processes and automated issuance of caregiving documents for insurance claims

As of the first half of 2025, more than 13,632 patients have used Dolbom-e-shin’s services, with cumulative transaction volume surpassing USD 12.9 million(KRW 17.5 billion). The total number of caregiving service days reached 138,735 days (about 380 years), underscoring the company’s rapid growth in the hospital caregiving market.

Minsik Kim, CEO of Dolbom-e-shin, stated “As Korea enters a super-aged society, demand for caregiving services is surging. However, the market remains dominated by cash-based informal transactions and unstandardized services, creating significant inconvenience for both patients and families. With this investment, we will accelerate digital innovation in caregiving services and establish a transparent, standardized care ecosystem.”

HGI explained its decision, “We highly valued Dolbom-e-shin’s differentiated service model, high customer satisfaction, and strong growth potential.”

HGI Director Jaeho Ko added “Dolbom-e-shin, as a hospital-centered caregiving platform, has strong potential to innovate a market plagued by opacity and inefficiency. This investment will actively support service advancement and rapid market expansion.”

With this investment, Dolbom-e-shin plans to focus on enhancing AI-based caregiver matching services, expanding its network with insurers and general agencies (GAs) and renewing the platform with a user-centric design

These initiatives aim to strengthen caregiving service competitiveness and accelerate business expansion.

Meanwhile, on September 1, 2025, the company changed its name from CodeBlossom to Dolbom-e-shin.
