Bigmobility Raises $1.6M Pre-Series A to Expand ‘Truck Helper’ Commercial Parking Platform Nationwide

Korean startup Bigmobility, which operates “Truck Helper,” an online/offline service for dedicated commercial vehicle parking, has raised USD 1.63 million(KRW 2.2 billion) in a Pre-Series A round. The round was led by Smilegate Investment, with new participation from Sopoong Ventures and Alois Ventures, while existing investor BonAngels Venture Partners followed on.

Bigmobility develops and directly operates commercial vehicle parking lots by utilizing idle urban spaces to address the chronic shortage of parking for commercial vehicles, including trucks, vans, and special-purpose vehicles. The company currently operates 41 sites nationwide, totaling approximately 36,000 pyeong (about 119,000 m², equivalent to 18 soccer fields). With the new funding, the company plans to enhance its service, expand nationwide, and strengthen talent acquisition.

The Truck Helper service now spans 41 locations, accommodating nearly 1,000 trucks and buses at its facilities nationwide.

After securing seed funding from BonAngels Venture Partners immediately after incorporation, Bigmobility reached breakeven within just 16 months of launching the service. The company is on track to achieve full-year profitability this year. Last year, it won the Grand Prize in the Growth Track at the Asan Nanum Foundation’s “Chung Ju-young Startup Competition,” Korea’s largest startup competition.

As the first private company in Korea to pioneer dedicated commercial parking services, Truck Helper is creating a new market previously non-existent. The service has gained support from multiple stakeholders, including commercial vehicle owners, for its social value and practical impact.

Yumi Kim, Investment Director at Smilegate Investment, who led the round, commented, “Bigmobility is not simply a provider of dedicated commercial parking lots. With Korea’s 4.5 million commercial vehicles, it is building the country’s first comprehensive commercial vehicle platform that can accumulate data on tires, maintenance, financing, and more. We expect explosive growth.”

Daegyu Seo, CEO of Bigmobility, added, “In just over two years since incorporation, we expanded to 41 commercial parking sites nationwide to serve Korea’s 4.5 million commercial vehicles. Truck Helper is evolving into a ‘Commercial Mobility Station,’ providing all services needed by commercial drivers based on its offline parking infrastructure. We are actively bringing in top talent to drive innovation in Korea’s outdated commercial vehicle market.”
