Sorcerics, a Korean Ambient AI startup developing autonomous AI home solutions, has secured new investment from NAVER D2SF. Sorcerics has developed an AI home system that understands users’ situations, intentions, and contextual signals to proactively deliver services, preparing for a global product launch in the North American market in Q1 2026.

Guided by the philosophy of Ambient AI—where technology blends naturally into everyday environments—Sorcerics aims to transform smart homes into spaces that “take care of users on their own.” While traditional smart homes operate as passive systems requiring users to issue commands, Sorcerics pursues a “fully autonomous AI home” where technology adapts to users and provides proactive services.
Sorcerics’ AI home solution combines a single camera with its proprietary large language model (LLM) to comprehensively analyze user gestures, behaviors, and spatial environments, enabling nuanced understanding of user intent and optimal service delivery. For example, instead of simply turning off lights when a user lies down, the system contextually interprets the user’s readiness for sleep and adjusts lighting levels accordingly. By running up to five AI models simultaneously through on-device AI technology, the solution protects privacy while developing aesthetically refined hardware at approximately one-quarter of competitors’ costs, securing strong product competitiveness.
The Sorcerics co-founding team, led by CEO Hyeonjong Ryu, brings exceptional engineering capabilities and execution strength, with over a decade of experience in core product development and research at big tech companies including Google. The company is currently conducting beta testing in North America and targets a Kickstarter launch in Q1 2026. Sorcerics will also participate in CES 2026 to showcase its products to global potential customers and partners.
The North American smart home market currently shows approximately 48% of households owning at least one smart device, yet proactive integrated solutions capable of meeting rapidly growing demand remain absent. Sorcerics plans to quickly address this gap, capturing market share and establishing solid entry barriers. To support this growth, the company is actively recruiting top talent across AI, software, hardware, business, and marketing functions.
Sang-hwan Yang, Head of NAVER D2SF, stated: “The true value of technology lies not in users having to understand and learn it, but in technology understanding users and delivering services naturally. We expect Sorcerics to overcome the limitations of existing smart home solutions and create truly convenient smart environments for users.”
