JEJULAVASALT Raises Seed Funding from Bluepoint Partners to Scale Jeju Lava Seawater Mineral Ingredients Business

JEJULAVASALT, a South Korean functional mineral ingredient startup, has secured seed investment from Bluepoint Partners.

The company sources its raw materials exclusively from Jeju lava seawater — a resource only accessible to businesses licensed to operate within the Jeju Lava Seawater Industrial Complex, creating a natural barrier to entry. From that foundation, JEJULAVASALT extracts and processes minerals including salt, magnesium, and silicon using its proprietary LabSalt process, delivering standardized functional ingredients to customers across food, wellness, and beauty sectors.

While the company initially entered the market through premium B2C salt products, its core growth engine is B2B ingredient supply. The LabSalt process is central to that ambition: rather than selling finished consumer goods, JEJULAVASALT positions itself as a manufacturer capable of producing marine mineral ingredients to consistent, globally recognized standards.

Founded in March last year, the company has since been selected for the TIPS program and has earned certification as a venture company and corporate research institute. It has also begun generating early revenue. The CEO brings more than 20 years of experience in related fields and holds a doctorate in marine biology.

“We’re not building just another salt brand,” the CEO said. “Our goal is to become a manufacturer that standardizes marine minerals into functional ingredients through the LabSalt process — and ultimately to grow into a mineral ingredient company recognized in global markets.”
