Cycloid Raises $360K from AXE Ventures to Scale Electric Motorcycle Subscriptions for Korea's Delivery Riders

Cycloid operates Badream, Korea’s largest electric two-wheeler platform designed specifically for the delivery sector. The service consolidates the entire rider experience—from vehicle subscription and purchase to automated subsidy applications, financing, maintenance, and fleet management—into one digital platform. By digitizing what has traditionally been a fragmented, offline process, Cycloid aims to lower the barrier for delivery riders transitioning to electric vehicles.

The startup has recently accelerated partnerships with manufacturers and financial institutions to widen electric two-wheeler adoption across Korea. It is also pursuing new eco-friendly mobility initiatives in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and private-sector partners.

AXE Ventures, the lead investor in this round, positions itself as an AI-native accelerator specializing in early-stage technology companies. The firm says it identifies high-growth startups through deep due diligence backed by substantial personal capital commitments from managing partners, then supports portfolio companies with AI-driven partnership sourcing, operational upgrades, and follow-on fundraising support, drawing on experience from global consulting firms and corporate CVCs.

AXE Ventures framed the investment as rooted in a long-standing relationship with the Cycloid team. The firm said Cycloid goes beyond supplying vehicles to solve riders’ financing and operational challenges with data, and expects the startup to demonstrate strong scalability in Korea’s delivery mobility market.

Cycloid said the backing was especially meaningful because it came from an investor with whom it had worked over an extended period and shared business philosophies. The company plans to further refine its electric motorcycle subscription service and expand an eco-friendly mobility ecosystem in partnership with manufacturers, financial firms, and local governments.

Cycloid was founded in July 2023 and raised seed funding from accelerator Infobank that October. Initially focused on the used two-wheeler market, the startup developed the Badream platform with features such as expert condition checks before pivoting to electric two-wheelers in June 2024.

The company has also drawn recognition from public institutions. Earlier this year, it was selected as a “First Penguin” company by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, securing access to up to KRW 2 billion in funding over three years. Cycloid has additionally supplied electric three-wheelers to a district office and run pilot programs with delivery operators focused on safer, greener rider infrastructure.

Around Badream, Cycloid currently provides an integrated offering spanning subscriptions, automated subsidy applications, financing links, a directly operated maintenance center, and a vehicle management platform. Going forward, it plans to expand into AI-based operational automation and build a large-scale mobility data platform.
