Point2 Technology, a Korea-based developer of high-speed interconnect solutions for AI data centers, has closed an $80 million Series B extension with participation from ARM, LB Investment, Quantum Ventures Korea-Korea Omega Investment & Finance, and Maverick Silicon, the company announced August 12.

The round brings Point2’s total raised to $136 million.
Point2 Technology is a deep-tech startup co-founded by KAIST Professor Hyun-Min Bae and a team of graduates. The company previously secured $65 million in its Series B first close in April 2026, with participation from NVentures, the venture arm of NVIDIA. The latest round expands Point2’s investor roster across the global semiconductor, accelerator, and interconnect ecosystem, underscoring the company’s positioning of its e-Tube technology platform as a next-generation rack-scale interconnect foundation for AI data centers.
Point2 will use the funding to strengthen its engineering, systems, operations and business teams, and accelerate commercialization of active RF cable (ARC), near-package e-Tube (NPE), and co-packaged e-Tube (CPE) solutions for rack-scale computing systems.
“As AI systems scale and bandwidth requirements reach terabits per second, interconnects have become a critical bottleneck,” said Sean Park, co-founder and CEO of Point2 Technology. “The recent investment from ARM, LB Investment, Quantum Ventures Korea, and Maverick Silicon validates that our e-Tube platform is emerging as an essential interconnect solution for next-generation AI data factories.”
Paul Williamson, Senior Vice President of Arm Ventures, said, “Next-generation AI infrastructure will depend on advances across the entire technology stack—from compute to memory to interconnects. Point2 is addressing a challenge that becomes increasingly critical as AI systems scale, and we are pleased to support Point2’s work advancing the technology that will underpin the future of AI infrastructure.”
Ki-ho Park, CEO of LB Investment, said, “As AI data centers move toward larger, more power-efficient computing clusters, interconnect has become a core infrastructure challenge. Point2’s innovative platform is helping address that challenge by enabling scalable, energy-efficient data center infrastructure for the future.”
Josh Miner, Principal at Maverick Silicon, said, “Through our continued collaboration with Point2, the company continues to demonstrate strong technical leadership in capitalizing on the tremendous opportunity in AI infrastructure. This investment reflects our firm confidence in Point2’s RF-based approach and its potential to deliver next-generation AI interconnect solutions that meet the performance, efficiency, and cost requirements of hyperscalers and accelerator vendors.”
Point2’s e-Tube technology platform implements a new category of active RF cables (ARC) that transmit data through plastic waveguides, based on a patented RF signaling architecture. According to the company, e-Tube delivers ten times the reach of copper cables, five times lighter weight, and half the cable volume at the same price, while consuming three times less power and costing three times less than optical approaches—with 1,000 times lower latency and none of the reliability issues such as laser failures. The platform provides scalable bandwidth density designed for accelerator-to-accelerator compute fabric and rack-scale interconnect, supporting a range of form factors including pluggable cables, near-package e-Tube (NPE) and co-packaged e-Tube (CPE) module solutions.
