Smilegate Investment, CNTTech, and SM Culture Partners participated in the round.

Investors cited Accorde Entertainment’s growth potential in virtual artist IP, differentiated content planning and production capabilities, and scalability into the global K-POP market as key factors behind their strategic investment decision.

Accorde Entertainment operates an IP business centered on its proprietary virtual IP MY:RAKL, spanning music, narrative worldview, live content, and fan community. The company has steadily expanded its fandom by releasing music and original content based on differentiated IP planning and production expertise, strengthening its competitiveness in the virtual entertainment market.

MY:RAKL is a virtual boy group built on the unique concept “idols starting over from debut” and the message “Make Your Reality A Kismet Legacy.” The group continues to expand its IP through the monthly music project MY:RAKL THE SERIES and released the digital single “Captain of Dreams” on August 30.

Accorde Entertainment plans to use the investment to upgrade its virtual production system, strengthen proprietary IP competitiveness, produce new content, expand its global fandom, and develop next-generation virtual projects. The company also intends to expand its business scope beyond music and content into broader digital IP ventures as it accelerates its evolution into a global virtual entertainment company.

“The virtual content market is ultimately an industry where IP, rather than technology, determines competitiveness,” said Jii Choi, CEO of Accorde Entertainment. “This investment validates our IP strength and growth potential. We will continue to refine our proprietary IP and establish ourselves as a competitive virtual entertainment company in the global market.”

Korean virtual entertainment and artist IP startups have attracted consistent investor attention in recent quarters. In May, Korean cross-media content IP startup Macovill raised follow-on investment from Laguna Investment and Kona Venture Partners to expand its global kids IP ecosystem, while K-POP entertainment startup DayOneDream secured follow-on funding from CRIT Ventures in April to expand its artist IP portfolio and Japan operations.
