INCERASOLUTION Closes $10.3M Series A to Scale Precision Laser-Steering Mirrors for Space Optical Communications

INCERASOLUTION, a South Korean startup developing ultra-precision optical beam-steering components for space laser communications, has closed a Series A round worth approximately $10.3 million (KRW 13.5 billion), the company announced September 1.

The round drew participation from new investors SV Investment, Shinhan Venture Investment, and Intervest, alongside returning investors Daekyo Investment, L&S Venture Capital, Innopolis Partners, SOLiDX, and JB Ventures. Seed-stage backers also re-invested, bringing INCERASOLUTION’s cumulative funding to approximately $13.3 million (KRW 17.4 billion).

INCERASOLUTION designs and manufactures Fast Steering Mirrors (FSM)—high-speed, ultra-precision optical components that control laser-beam direction—and Pointing, Acquisition & Tracking (PAT) platforms, the core subsystems enabling satellite-to-satellite and satellite-to-ground laser communications. FSM technology extends to defense laser systems, space optics, and advanced laser applications. The company has developed both Piezo-actuated and Voice Coil–actuated FSM variants in-house and now supplies defense primes, space integrators, and government research institutes across South Korea.

INCERASOLUTION’s space-grade FSM has completed ground environmental qualification and was selected as a payload aboard the Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA) second verification satellite under the domestic space component certification program. The hardware is manifested on the fifth Nuri rocket launch scheduled for October 7, 2026, where it will undergo on-orbit performance testing and establish a critical space heritage record to support global market entry.

In October 2025, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups selected INCERASOLUTION for the Scale-up TIPS program, awarding government support to develop a laser precision pointing system for space optical communications. Building on its FSM development track record, the company is now expanding from precision optical components to complete PAT subsystems, advancing both technical capability and addressable markets.

Series A proceeds will fund FSM production-line expansion, manufacturing-equipment procurement, PAT follow-on R&D, and international business development. INCERASOLUTION recently secured KS Q 9100 aerospace and defense quality-management-system certification, establishing a full-cycle commercialization framework from design and production through test and qualification. The company will deploy capital to scale manufacturing capacity and strengthen its global supply-chain position.

INCERASOLUTION is stepping up international outreach, engaging global space and optical-communications companies in technical and commercial discussions. The firm is using international trade shows and industry networks to win overseas customers and join multinational supply chains. Technologies developed for space precision optical control are planned for extension into defense, semiconductor, advanced laser, and precision optics sectors.

South Korea’s space sector is witnessing rapid technology commercialization led by private startups. In August 2026, UEL closed an $8 million pre-Series A to advance lunar-rover demonstrations targeting 2027–2028 surface operations, and STEPLAB completed a Series A worth $8.4 million for space-mechanism technology. KASA’s Scale-up TIPS program has also selected Airvility and WorkerInSpace, each receiving three-year grants totaling approximately $30.6 million (KRW 4 billion) in combined government and private capital.
