S innovations, a developer of autonomous mobile robot (AMR) installation, maintenance, and cross-platform operations automation solutions, announced October 1 that it has raised 3 billion won (USD 2.3 million) in pre-Series A funding from Quantum Ventures Korea, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and Daekyo Investment.

S innovations, a startup founded at Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST), is led by co-CEOs Kim Jeong-jun and Park Hyeong-seok and is developing SynK, a Cyber-Physical AI–based AMR operations automation platform. While AMR adoption is growing rapidly in manufacturing and logistics sites, on-site deployment requires significant labor and time to install robots, generate maps, check errors, and manage them within a unified system. The industry cites growing maintenance and integration complexity as a major challenge as the number of operational robots increases.
SynK’s core capability is automating the installation, maintenance, and integration tasks traditionally performed manually, by using AI to analyze real robot movements and on-site data. The platform offers automated installation, maintenance, and integration functions.
In the installation phase, SynK’s Auto Mapping technology enables robots to autonomously navigate sites and generate maps without manual operation. During maintenance, the system detects operational anomalies or localization errors, guides operators on causes and responses, and automatically resolves errors that permit immediate recovery. SynK also provides Smart Charging functionality, which manages optimal charging schedules and criteria based on operational data.
In the integration phase, SynK enables management of multiple AMRs from different manufacturers and models within a single environment. Its vendor-agnostic architecture allows diverse robots to operate together, reducing the management complexity that grows with AMR deployment scale.
SynK reduces the labor and time required for AMR installation and maintenance, and lowers the cost burden of on-site visits and operational downtime. S innovations strengthened its commercialization foundation through selection for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS program and venture certification, and entered overseas markets in 2026 with an export deal to Taiwan. The company is enhancing its core technology competitiveness by filing patents including SLAM map calibration and autonomous-robot map-generation technologies.
S innovations plans to use the funding to advance SynK’s product and technology capabilities and recruit core talent. The company intends to expand its reseller network and customer deployment cases in Korea and Taiwan to accelerate product commercialization and market validation.
“With this investment, we will productize the traditional AMR deployment approach that relied on customer-specific engineering, and complete the SynK platform that resellers can repeatedly apply across diverse sites,” said CEO Kim Jeong-jun. “We will expand the domestic and international AMR operations automation market by automating AMR installation, maintenance, and integration processes with Cyber-Physical AI.”
