Roumit Raises $4.56 Million to Enhance Semo Report for Tax Professionals

Roumit, the company behind ‘Semo Report,’ a premium reporting service designed for tax professionals, has secured a KRW 6 billion (approximately USD 4.56 million) investment from the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) and Webcash.

Semo Report is a premium platform that simplifies the monthly delivery of about ten different types of reports for tax offices to their clients. This service enables small business owners to access critical operational and financial information in advance, aiding in more efficient business management.

This investment will allow Roumit to concentrate on enhancing the technology and services of Semo Report, aiming to boost the functionality of customer-specific services and data analysis. This enhancement is expected to continuously improve the satisfaction of both tax offices and their small business clients.

The funding was sourced from the ‘IBK Digital Innovation New Technology Investment Fund,’ which is valued at KRW 100 billion (approximately USD 76 million). Semo Report was selected as the initial investment target of this fund due to its significant potential to revolutionize services for 2.5 million small business owners and tax professionals.

Since its launch in 2023, Semo Report has gained significant traction, acquiring 10,000 customers and winning the ‘2024 First Place in the Korean Consumer Satisfaction Index.’ Targeting 50,000 customers by 2024, the platform is poised for a 400% growth compared to the previous year.

Seunghyun Park, CEO of Roumit, commented, “This investment reflects the active engagement and collaboration with tax professionals, driving continuous innovation and improvement in Semo Report. We remain committed to advancing our platform to support the growth of tax professionals and small business owners.”
