Mission Driven Secures Second Seed Round Investment from MYSC

Mission Driven, a Korean community platform for middle-aged and senior adults, announced that it has secured a second seed round investment from MY Social Company (MYSC). The investment amount remains undisclosed.

Based on his experience as a planner, Mission Driven CEO Jinsoo Kim founded Curious, a community-based lecture platform for middle-aged adults. Curious enables individuals in their 40s to 60s to take content creation courses, develop their skills as creators, and subsequently host lectures and gatherings to generate income.

In just a year and a half since its launch, Curious has rapidly grown to reach 60,000 monthly active users (MAU) and previously secured early-stage funding from Primer.

Mission Driven plans to evolve Curious into a ‘senior community care’ service. While the senior community care market is already well-established in the U.S., it is now gaining increasing attention in Korea. Curious aims to create an ‘online cultural center’ that blends online and offline advantages, allowing seniors to access their desired communities anytime and anywhere.

Joonjae Byun, a team leader at MYSC, stated, “With aging becoming an irreversible trend, Mission Driven’s approach—solving senior market challenges from a customer’s perspective—reveals new possibilities.”

Jinsoo Kim, CEO of Mission Driven, shared his aspirations, saying, “With this investment, we aim to develop Curious into a platform where middle-aged individuals can achieve their ‘second dream’ and ultimately contribute to restoring the value of togetherness.”
