NanoSystems Secures Pre-Series A Funding to Advance 3D LiDAR Solutions for Industrial Safety and Robotics
A South Korea-based 3D LiDAR sensor specialist NanoSystems has raised a pre-Series A round from Daesung Private Equity. This follows its seed investment from Bluepoint Partners last year, marking a successful follow-on within just one year.

NanoSystems develops and mass-produces flash-type 3D LiDAR sensors, which can capture coordinates and distances of nearby objects in image form. This feature provides high utility in application areas when combined with vision AI.
The company has applied its sensors to industrial robots and safety monitoring solutions, enabling precise detection of worker positions and potential hazards on manufacturing sites.
Amid stricter safety regulations under Korea’s Serious Accidents Punishment Act, demand is rising for real-time detection and prevention of robot–worker collisions in factories. Addressing this need, NanoSystems has been expanding revenue through its industrial robot safety solutions.
Daesung Private Equity commented “Unlike LiDAR companies focused solely on autonomous driving, which require long development and commercialization cycles, NanoSystems has successfully developed and commercialized LiDAR tailored for industrial robotics and safety applications.”
They added “With this funding, the company is expected to strengthen its mass production system, expand sales, and pursue global market entry.”
Building on this investment, NanoSystems plans to enhance its industrial safety solutions while extending LiDAR applications to humanoid robotics and physical AI as part of its long-term strategy. The goal is to broaden use cases beyond industrial safety into robotics and smart factories.
