Solivis Closes KRW 23 Billion Series C Round, Reaches KRW 65.2 Billion in Total Funding
Solivis, a sulfide solid-electrolyte specialist, announced on August 13 that it has successfully closed a KRW 23 billion (USD 17.3 million) Series C round.

The round included Openwater Investment and Seulki Asset Management among its investors. Since its 2020 founding, Solivis has now raised a cumulative KRW 65.2 billion (USD 49 million).
Alongside the Series C close, Solivis was selected for two Ministry of SMEs and Startups programs in 2026: the Deep-Tech Global Leader initiative and the Unicorn Bridge program. The Deep-Tech Global Leader program supports outstanding deep-tech startups in overseas expansion and commercialization, while Unicorn Bridge helps high-potential companies scale and expand their operations.
Solivis plans to use the proceeds to advance its sulfide-based solid-electrolyte technology, expand production capacity, and strengthen its global business foundation. The company intends to raise the automation level of its sulfide solid-electrolyte manufacturing infrastructure, diversify its proprietary high-performance material lineup, and accelerate partnerships with global battery manufacturers.
According to global market research firm SNE Research, the all-solid-state battery market is projected to grow sharply from KRW 210 billion in 2023 to KRW 1.2 trillion by 2026. Sulfide-based solid electrolytes, in particular, are recognized as a core material for the next generation of batteries due to their high ionic conductivity and excellent formability, driving intense competition among major automakers and battery manufacturers worldwide.
“This milestone represents simultaneous recognition of our proprietary technology and our growth potential in the global market,” said Shin Dong-wook, CEO of Solivis. “With this funding, we will maximize our mass-production competitiveness and lead the global all-solid-state battery materials market. As all-solid-state battery commercialization approaches, quality stability and mass-production capability are emerging as critical factors. We will respond swiftly to market demands with our differentiated technology.”
Founded in 2020 on the strength of over two decades of solid-electrolyte research, Solivis is an all-solid-state materials specialist. The company has secured more than 150 patents and operates its proprietary third-generation wet-synthesis mass-production platform, achieving industry-leading ionic conductivity and precise design flexibility tailored to customer requirements. Solivis currently operates a 36-ton-per-year facility in Hoengseong, Gangwon Province, at full capacity.
The global shift toward next-generation battery technologies continues to accelerate. Major Korean battery makers are investing in solid-state pilot lines, while EV manufacturers are targeting commercial deployment before 2028, underscoring the growing strategic importance of scalable, high-performance solid-electrolyte supply.
