Korean AI Mobility Startup MOVV Secures Strategic Investment from KB Securities and Hwafu Group


MOVV, a Korean company developing an AI-based on-demand mobility system, has secured strategic investment from KB Securities and Taiwan’s Hwafu Tourism Group. The investment totals approximately USD 3.57 million (KRW 5 billion), bringing MOVV’s cumulative funding to about USD 7.14 million (KRW 10 billion).

MOVV leverages AI technology to develop solutions for real-time demand forecasting, optimal route analysis, and automated vehicle dispatching, collaborating with various mobility companies domestically and internationally. With this investment, MOVV plans to accelerate the expansion of its global Mobility Software as a Service business using AI technology.

KB Securities aims to maximize synergies with affiliates within the KB Financial Group, pursuing strategic collaboration with MOVV. Specifically, it intends to integrate AI-based mobility services into its domestic and international auto finance operations, offering differentiated financial solutions.

Seong-hoon Jung, a director at KB Securities, said, “We will introduce a new service model combining finance and mobility, providing customers with more efficient mobility business infrastructure through AI-tailored financial and mobility solutions.” MOVV is expected to strengthen its competitiveness in overseas markets by leveraging KB Financial Group’s global network.

Meanwhile, Hwafu Group, a leading travel and vehicle service provider in Taiwan, seeks to adopt MOVV’s mobility system to maximize operational efficiency and boost revenue. MOVV will support the digital transformation of rental car and mobility service companies in Taiwan, collaborating with Hwafu Group to implement AI-based operational optimization solutions that reduce costs and enhance service quality simultaneously.

Yong-dian Liao, chairman of Hwafu Group, stated, “Digital transformation in Taiwan’s mobility industry is an essential trend, and MOVV’s AI technology will play a key role in accelerating it. Through this partnership, we aim to improve service efficiency and provide a more convenient mobility environment.”

With this investment, MOVV is poised to further accelerate AI-driven innovation in the global mobility market and establish itself as a leader in global mobility transformation.
