[Korean Startup Interview] EHAN Creative: Leading Educational Innovation in the Digital Textbook Era with Generative AI ‘Duwing’


As AI digital textbooks are fully introduced from 2025, personalized education for individual students is being realized, and AI-powered voice and content automation are emerging as core trends in the edutech market. Accordingly, AI-based digital transformation is accelerating in educational settings. Amid changing educational environments where students learn with optimized personalized learning content and teachers design classes based on data, demand for generative AI-based educational solutions is also surging.

EHAN Creative is an edutech startup providing generative AI-based experience-centered SaaS educational solutions in line with these changes. Founded in 2023 by CEO Jeon Hye-ran, who completed her master’s degree at Yonsei University and worked as a content PD, with CTO Jeon Sang-myeong, a Seoul National University engineering master’s graduate who has performed numerous AI deep learning projects.

EHAN Creative aims to solve the difficulty of utilizing edutech by building a digital education platform that teachers can use easily and conveniently in line with changing educational environments. They focus on nurturing creativity by having students learn through self-experience rather than passively receiving education. CEO Jeon states, “My parents were school teachers, and I learned a lot watching them contemplate educational programs. So even while working at a content company, I judged I could create creative educational content well and started the business.” This experience likely shaped EHAN Creative’s focus on creativity enhancement. EHAN Creative’s AI service provides benefits not only to students but also to teachers, reducing class preparation burden by enabling generation of educational goals and content within minutes when it previously took 1 to 3 hours.

Currently, EHAN Creative possesses 3D authoring tools, educational solutions, and LMS, piloting the DX experience-centered education platform ‘Duwing’ and applying it to public institutions, educational institutions, and companies. Through seed investment and TIPS selection last June, they’re developing AI auto-generation authoring tools and multi-party collaboration solutions, focusing on curriculum/content-linked generation and inference algorithms, content authoring tool technology, real-time collaboration systems, and LLM-based AI model technology development. Possessing a generative AI engine achieving 93% accuracy, they’ll soon launch a solution that automatically generates content when curriculum goals or achievement standards are input.

Main targets are the public education market and corporate education sector, expanding the B2G market by conducting AI education along with AI creative education at Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education’s shared schools. Not stopping there, they developed ‘SafeCore,’ applicable to safety education for multinational workers in industrial sectors. SafeCore is a ‘virtual safety experience diagnosis solution’ enabling workers to virtually experience industrial sites where they work, as EHAN Creative expands business into various areas.

The revenue model is selling the all-in-one AI collaboration tool platform with differentiated functions and pricing strategies for public institutions, private institutions, and general users, generating revenue through B2G and B2B-based subscription solutions and corporate customization. While people commonly wonder how much sales can be generated by connecting AI and education, EHAN Creative achieved $357K USD (500 million KRW) in sales in 2024 and is targeting $714K USD (1 billion KRW) this year.

EHAN Creative moved into Pangyo Gyeonggi Culture Creation Hub operated by Gyeonggi Content Agency in 2024 receiving space support, and in 2025 was selected as an early startup funding support company, receiving active support. CEO Jeon strongly recommended Pangyo Hub residency to other startup teams, stating, “The location is good in terms of accessibility, and with various customized programs optimized for companies and well-built infrastructure available, I think it’s the optimal place for early startup teams in terms of cost, securing personnel, and business operations.”

EHAN Creative achieved various accomplishments including selection for Ultra Gap 1000+ Artificial Intelligence field, signing business agreements with domestic and international educational institutions, and winning the Ministry of Science and ICT Minister’s Award and Ministry of SMEs and Startups Win-Win Honors at the 2024 Overseas Expansion Program. They plan to open an AI math/science program for infants and elementary students in August and expand AI-based safety education programs through collaboration with large corporate industrial groups. What problem is EHAN Creative trying to solve?

As the education paradigm changes, innovation in educational environments and changes in education systems and platforms are desperately needed. The revised curriculum importantly addresses collaborative communication, problem-solving capabilities, and self-directed learning, so educational platforms are needed to support these while strengthening educational capabilities in digital environments.

AI-based collaborative experience-centered collaboration tools are needed in line with changing times. However, at sites, the burden of preparing for edutech utilization including AI-based collaborative experience-centered collaboration tools and difficulty using services are pointed out as problems, and they’re experiencing various difficulties in program utilization for classes, administrator time utilization, and class preparation. We aim to solve these problems and develop them into educational platforms that teachers can use easily and conveniently.

How does EHAN Creative solve this problem?

We’re developing collaboration solutions with generative AI and all-in-one functions to improve convenience, strengthening accessibility with lower capacity than existing platforms and building convenient environments.

We’re developing personalized customized technology that analyzes, predicts, and evaluates based on data generated in multi-to-multi mutual communication methods rather than existing 1-to-many, one-way methods.

We aim to provide innovative solutions by building datasets that can complete content generation needed for classes within 10 minutes, shortening content class preparation time and enabling curriculum/content generation linkage.

To this end, we’ll develop generation algorithms and apply generative AI technology by developing labeling technology and authoring tools by curriculum and content. We’re developing AI collaboration solution technology through creating user-customized collaboration tools for real-time communication and LLM-based student collaboration tools assisting educational content during classes, while introducing SaaS-based system structures for developing bidirectional educational solutions between multiple parties and applying DKT-based tracking algorithms for providing personalized customized content.

What specifically are EHAN Creative’s products/services, and what is the progress?

We currently possess developer-centered 3D authoring tools, educational solutions, and LMS. Based on this, we’re advancing and piloting the DX experience-centered education platform ‘Duwing,’ which is being utilized at various institutions and schools. We’re implementing solution technology supporting creative tools students can create with, generative AI helping teachers’ educational materials and problem generation, and collaboration tools, and will soon launch a solution where content is generated when curriculum goals or achievement standards are input. We also plan to expand content and problem generation AI technology in connection with industrial sectors, particularly HSE, safety education, and risk assessment education.

Through seed investment and TIPS, we plan to secure competitiveness in three main aspects: First, developing curriculum/content-linked generation and inference algorithms; second, building multi-party real-time communication and generation using collaboration solutions; third, developing all-in-one solutions enabling multi-party collaboration through these generation technologies, authoring tools, and collaboration tool development.

What is EHAN Creative’s competitiveness/differentiation compared to competitors?

We’re providing solutions and content to customers and institutions using technology. Through this, teachers at educational institutions can generate not only educational goals and materials but also content in just minutes.

Through this content generation, we can reduce teachers’ work burden and improve students’ creativity. Teachers can directly generate and distribute content, and students can directly experience distributed content.

For example, when teachers generate and distribute math problems, they can create content with QA format and competitive elements, and in LMS, data can be managed individually with AI evaluation feedback possible. Our differentiation is that we can build various learning environments including discussion-based learning and experience-based learning.

Who are the core target customers, and what is the target market size?

Our all-in-one collaboration tool platform is an all-in-one platform functionally improved compared to competitors’ functions on the market.

Based on this technology, we’re providing educational services and solutions for the public education market and corporate and institutional education. Representatively, we’re conducting creative education and AI education utilizing AI technology by introducing it to shared schools operated by Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, expanding based on the B2G market. Educational solution technology based on generative AI is also linking with institutions and companies based on stable demand centered on schools.

We’re also expanding into industrial sectors, providing solutions to corporate safety personnel to enhance educational effectiveness for multinational workers.

What is EHAN Creative’s business model?

Our main business model is based on B2G and B2B. The main revenue structure is institutions and companies utilizing solutions in subscription form. Additionally, we’re providing corporate-customized solution construction or independent customized forms.

We’re conducting B2G education operations using platforms and instructor training, trainee development for program expansion, and exploring various measures to expand and activate programs to B2B (academies, companies) and B2C (distribution points, general customers) utilizing solutions.

We plan to approach target markets through function differentiation and pricing strategies for public institutions, private institutions, and general users.

What achievements has the EHAN Creative team made so far?

We completed seed investment attraction last year and were selected for TIPS, proceeding with technology development. We were also selected for the Ultra Gap 1000+ Artificial Intelligence field, proceeding with technology development and commercialization. We’ve signed business agreements with about 10 domestic and international educational institutions and are creating achievements by signing contracts with Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education and branch offices for visiting schools and shared schools.

We’re also conducting industrial education in agreement with companies and proceeding with overseas expansion through cooperation and PoC with overseas companies, institutions, and centers. In the 2024 Overseas Expansion Program, we won the Ministry of Science and ICT Minister’s Award and Ministry of SMEs and Startups Win-Win Honors.

Our team has deep expertise in AI and education. Founders have led successful edutech projects building partnerships with leading companies, receiving support from AI, full-stack developers, and experts. We plan to build a solid brand in the market based on this solution.

We plan to open an AI math/science program for infants to elementary students in August, proceeding with story math using AI and programs utilizing concrete objects.

For industrial safety education programs, we’re currently collaborating with large corporate industrial groups regarding safety education simulations, enabling fast generation and immersive simulations based on AI.
